Oddly correct fortune cookies at the Mandarin..

Jay took me on a date to the Mandarin today. We hadn't been out on a date for a long time, but since life has been wrapped up with getting the house organized, preparing for baby and working.. we barely see each other. And you know, most of the time I am asleep..hehe seem to be doing a lot of that these days.

It was a good date. I ate like a piggy. Jay always keeps track of how many plates everyone eats so that he can get his "money's worth". LOL, I swear the guy is more foreign than I am.. I made him proud. I ate *gasp* 6 plates of food. Ok, so I cheat all the time. I stick to things I like and because I hate wasting food,I only take enough for one spoonful. If I like it, I will get more, if I don't, well, no waste. I always start and try to finish with a bowl of Wonton Soup. It really really soothes the stomach.

LOL, everytime I went out to the food area, everyone kept looking at my belly and smiling at me. This guy even told me, "hey, its the perfect place to get all your cravings". And everyone kept putting things on my plate.And you know me and my politeness.. Smile, and do the little head nod/bow with eyes down and say thank you. Hehe, everyone laughed at my dessert choice. I had some cheesecake, some potato salad,some soup and like 8 green olives...

I love fortune cookies. There is something about the taste of them that I really like. So where most people just tak the fortune out and throw away the cookie, I have my own little collection plate where I eat them later lol.

Jay's fortune was

" There are big changes for you,but you will be happy"

and mine was :

"An introduction will alter your plans"

I know, I know, fortune cookies are made to be generic, but still.. I'd like to think they were just for us and our bebe..

I had a good time..And the perfect end to our meal.. the hot towel (which Jay always tries to get me to put in my purse)
